FAQ

How much does product photography cost in the Netherlands?

Every project is scoped individually based on your product range, number of SKUs, desired style, and intended use. Day rate from €750,-. Retainer packages from €800,- per month for brands that need product content on a regular basis.

Do you also deliver product photos for bol.com or Amazon?

Yes, and this is something I have extensive experience with. I have worked with multiple brands specifically for Amazon, Shopify, and bol.com and know exactly what each platform technically requires. But more importantly, I know which combination of images actually performs. Product photos are no longer a nice-to-have. They are the absolute minimum you need to position your brand and start growing. Without the right visuals you lose the customer before they have even considered your product.

How many products can we photograph in one day?

It depends on set complexity. For clean packshots on a white background we can easily cover 15 to 30 products per day. For styled lifestyle setups with multiple props and build time we work through up to 5 sets per day, delivering 10 to 20 images in total. We always scope this upfront so you know exactly what to expect and we can plan the day properly.

What is the difference between a packshot and lifestyle product photography?

A packshot is clean, technical, and product focused. White or neutral background, no distractions, the product speaks for itself. Ideal for e-commerce and packaging. Lifestyle product photography places the product in context, with props, textures, and atmosphere. Ideal for campaigns, social media, and brand communication. We do both, and regularly combine them in a single production day.

Do I need to send my products in advance?

If you are nearby we will come and pick them up. If you are further away or based abroad we arrange shipping together. We make sure everything arrives on time and in good condition before shoot day.

Does Butterfly Studio work with smaller brands or startups?

Yes, absolutely. We work with brands of all sizes, from major names like Kraft Heinz to brands just starting to invest in professional content. The common denominator is quality. If you are serious about your visual identity, we would love to work with you.
